Team - Morris Bocian
Chief Financial Officer
Over the past 35 years, Morris Bocian has been a CFO,
consultant, teacher, lecturer, advisor, and author on a wide
variety of business topics. Throughout his professional
career, Price Waterhouse & Co, the IRS and a corporation
belonging to the national securities company employed him.
He has a wealth of experience in business and strategic
planning, financing, business negotiations and deal-making.
Currently, Mr. Bocian provides advisory services to position and package mid-sized
businesses through counseling and guidance for growth strategies, risk management,
cash flow management, credit, funding and the Due Diligence process.
His experience at Price Waterhouse & Co., as well as other work experiences, enabled
him to become highly skilled in the art of deal-making as well as in structuring and
financing businesses. During his career, Mr. Bocian has structured in excess of one half
billion dollars in business transaction loans and restructured debt. This experience has
served as a platform to uniquely qualified him to write articles, lecture and teach.
Furthermore, through his efforts, The Resolution Trust Corp was able to resolve complex
litigation in a creative manner. His participation allowed them to avoid government
liability and accomplish in less than 6 weeks what was unable to be resolved for more
than 4 years prior to Mr. Bocian’s involvement. The presiding judge was so impressed
with the resolution of the matter that he reported it to reporter from the New York Law
Journal, where it appeared on page 1. Mr. Bocian’s creative approach enables him to
develop win-win strategies for complex situations.
Mr. Bocian is a sitting member of a loan committee for a private lender, and also sits on
the Board of Advisors for several companies as well as the Rutgers Newark Small
Business Development Center. He is on the Advisory Board for Gibbs College
Entrepreneurial program.
Mr. Bocian is adjunct faculty and a thesis supervisor at New York University (NYU). He
is also adjunct faculty at Baruch College, City University of New York.
Mr. Bocian earned a B.S. in Accounting and also an M.B.A. He is a non-practicing
C.P.A. business analysis, debt restructuring and workouts, accounting and taxation.
